Ex-Heroes, #1

I have always enjoyed Zombie books and storylines involving Zombies. And I enjoy superheroes also. So of course I picked up Ex-Heroes. It had both Zombies and Superheroes in it and the storyline worked. It’s well worth reading and it kept me up during the night. I just had to finish and find out what was going to happen. I recommend Ex-Heroes for the good story it is. Zombie and superhero lovers will enjoy the combination of Zombies and Heroes battling to the death.

Ordinary people start developing super powers and it seems the bad guys are going to loose the fight. But then the first infected person appears and more and more zombies begin to walk the cities. The people start to panic. Luckily then the heroes Gorgon Stealth and St. George the Dragon organize a safe haven for the survivor’s. The thought is that at least they will survive. Then a new enemies appears and starts another reign of terror. The Heroes find out that one of their own has betrayed them all! Can the Heroes fight the new enemy and get through the emotional betrayal, or will everything be lost?

Book Blurb for Ex-Heroes

Stealth. Gorgon. Regenerator. Cerberus. Zzzap. The Mighty Dragon. They were heroes, using their superhuman abilities to make Los Angeles a better place.

Then the plague of living death spread around the globe. Billions died, civilization fell, and the city of angels was left a desolate zombie wasteland.

Now, a year later, the Mighty Dragon and his companions protect a last few thousand survivors in their film-studio-turned-fortress, the Mount. Scarred and traumatized by the horrors they’ve endured, the heroes fight the armies of ravenous ex-humans at their citadel’s gates, lead teams out to scavenge for supplies—and struggle to be the symbols of strength and hope the survivors so desperately need.

But the hungry ex-humans aren’t the only threats the heroes face. Former allies, their powers and psyches hideously twisted, lurk in the city’s ruins. And just a few miles away, another group is slowly amassing power . . . led by an enemy with the most terrifying ability of all.
