Harrigan's Price

Beautiful! Horrifically beautiful!

Although there were only six pages, those six pages held a library of feeling and emotion. I couldn't help but gasp at the ending as my heart sank, as realization smacked me hard on the forehead! I won't give away any spoilers because I honestly think that this needs to be read! I am truly impressed that so much could be quantified in such a short story! And it was not confusing or horribly written--instead, it felt as if I was climbing a staircase in the dark and thought I had one more step to go but my foot fell hard on the landing as my gut twisted and knotted.

This was different. And I liked it because it was different. I can't wait to read more from Chris Bauer!

Book Blurb for Harrigan's Price

At the desperate onset of World War II in the South Pacific, an American fighter pilot makes a choice to mend his ways. Servicemen in trouble, a priest who is losing faith...can one man possibly change the outcome of people's lives? Even from The Great Beyond?

A short work from our Spectres horror/supernatural line and from the author of A KILLER OF A DEAL and SPECIAL CHARTER.
