Hi Shannon. Awesome to have you over. Please tell us about the second book in your Venom Trilogy, "Fangs and Fennel".
The story of a reluctant supernatural (and excellent baker) who is try to come to terms with her unusual abilities, a pain in the ass soon to be ex-husband, and a vengeful Greek goddess. Throw in some vampires, a deadly virus killing humans, and some delicious cupcake recipes and you've got "Fangs and Fennel".
What should readers expect from you titles?
Lots of action, plot twists you won't see coming, and a dab of humour.
What's next for you as an author?
2017 is going to be a big year for me. I have a solid set of releases already lined up and a couple of surprises for my readers that I think is going to make them squeal like schoolgirls....
What drinks are your favorite?
I'm addicted to chai tea lattes from Starbucks.
What is your favorite way to procrastinate?
Chai tea lattes, Facebook, and cleaning the house. Yes, cleaning the house. I know I'm truly procrastinating when the urge to bring the house up to code floods me.
Getting a book to market often takes a village. Who has helped you on the way?
A huge shout out to my assistant Lysa Lessieur for being my right hand gal for almost four years. She's never backed down from a task I've thrown at her and while we butt heads sometimes, it's because we are both very passionate about this business.
If you could have dinner with an author, who would it be?
I would want to sit down with Stephen King. He's one of my favourite authors, and he also seems very down to earth despite his success. I think it would be an extremely interesting conversation.
What's your best vacation experience?
My husband and I have pretty much sworn off vacations. Over the last four years we've gone on five trips, and every single trip has included copious amounts of vomit (and we aren't drinkers), doctor trips, missing planes, near hospitalizations, and general sickness. So . . . we are thinking maybe we are cursed. LOL.
Thanks so much Shannon for stopping over.
Thank you so much for this opportunity to share a bit about me and my books (and my horrid vacations LOL) My readers are truly amazing, and I have enjoyed this journey as an author as much as I have I think because of them. They reach out with emails, tweets, and messages to let me know how much the love my books. What a great thing to wake up to every day. (Heart)
